I am an E-RYT 500hr Therapeutic Yoga Teacher and ESMT (Equine Sports Massage Therapist) and hold a degree in Equestrian Studies from Lake Erie College.

I've spent over a decade helping my clients improve their form and function, decrease pain and develop focus, clarity and connection.  You can find me teaching classes at BYS Yoga Studio, Yoga H'Om and St. Clair Hospital in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  I teach group and private sessions on Zoom where I connect with people around the world.

My classes are designed to inspire mindfulness, awareness and guide students to discover their full capacity in body and mind.

I blend my passion for yoga and horses by teaching Yoga and Resiliency for Equestrians in individual and group formats.  I will be featured in Horse Connections, June 2020 issue and Equine Affaire, November 12-13 in W. Springfield Massachusetts.

I have two horses,  (Bittersweet and Mighty Maverick) and over two decades of experience competing in jumpers, dressage, hunters and eventing.  I spent the first 5 years after college instructing riding lessons and training horses.  Prior to my senior year I completed an internship at the beautiful Centre Equestre la Houssaye in 2006.  One of the scariest things I have done is breeze a steeple chase horse in France!

I live with my husband (and tech support) and our dog Demo in Pittsburgh.

Kristen is a phenomenal yoga instructor.  She takes into consideration your needs, strengths and any physical weaknesses you may have in order to customize your practice.  Kristen is an inspiration - peace, joy and happiness surround her and somehow, in just 60 minutes, I leave with a calmness that I’ve not been able to find on my own.

"I came to a realization while practicing yoga more frequently that I can feel just as fulfilled during and after practice virtually vs being in the coziness of a studio, everyone’s breath around me. Being at home adds an element of relaxation and comfort that the studio carried throughout it." -J
